Bitcoin (BTC) and BNB quotes have fallen in the last hour. This after the news spread on the internet that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sued the exchange and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao.
As can be seen in the following graph, which was shared in the twitter account from CryptoNews, BNB “plummeted” from $300 to $280 in a few minutes. At the time of this publication, the cryptocurrency is trading at USD 275 and its volatility is extremely high.
For his part, BTC went from USD 26,800 to USD 25,750 at the time of this publication. The volatility of the main cryptocurrency is also extremely high at the moment, varying several tens of dollars in a matter of seconds.
The SEC’s lawsuit against the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange would have been for alleged violation of United States securities laws.
