Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, on the hunt for aliens and UFOs

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is currently searching for an unidentified flying object – or some sort of space entity – that has crashed off the coast of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean.

The search is part of the Galileo Project, which received $1.5 million in funding from Hoskinson last March.

The project is operating an expedition led by Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb and his student; Amir Siraj, who identified a “meteor of interstellar origin” that crashed to Earth from outer space in 2014.

The interstellar origin of the object has been verified by the US Department of Defense, and the Galileo team may have already found a couple of its remains.

In a June 16 tweet, Hoskinson confirmed that he is currently with the expedition team, saying they have found strange bits of cable and fragments that could have come from the accident.

“There’s a lot of ground left to cover, and we haven’t got the sled out yet.”

In a blog post on the same day, Loeb wrote: “Fortunately, we already have an anomaly: a manganese-platinum wire with an abundance pattern that differs from common commercial products.”

At the moment, however, it seems too early to confirm whether the pieces belong to some sort of “interstellar object in our cosmic neighborhood,” such as wait Loeb.

“The most important thing is to know if it was technologically manufactured by another civilization,” he said in a blog post on June 15.

It is not the first time that Hoskinson has contributed capital to a peculiar project.

In March 2022, the Cardano founder participated in a financing round of USD 75 million for Texas-based bioscience startup Colossal, whose goal is to resurrect woolly mammoths and other extinct species.

We invested in this venture They have an amazing vision and also there is a ton that can be done to add blockchain technology to the field of de-extinction from crowd funding to IP management of genetics
