The digital payment solutions company, AstroPay, announced its association with the Club Universidad de Chile (La U) as an official sponsor, thus expanding its presence within the Latin American region.
The scope of the agreement will allow the followers of the first division soccer club of the southern nation to have access to a free debit card called ‘Passion Card’with which fans of the sports club will be able to accumulate points redeemable for exclusive benefits such as match tickets, meetings with members of the first team, official merchandise, among others.
“Whether it’s to purchase match tickets, season passes, club first team meet and greets, official merchandise or other related products, AstroPay’s ambition is for the Passion Card to become the preferred payment method for millions of fans” , reads the AstroPay statement released on June 21, 2023.
The agreement will allow greater visibility of the AstroPay brand on the sports club’s uniform for the remainder of the 2023 season. In addition, The club’s official website will include the digital payment company as an online option for its fans.
The General Manager of La U, Ignacio Asenjo, added that it is excellent news for his club to expand its network of business partners.
“We are always looking for ways to innovate, to make a difference, and for this reason, AstroPay generated that interest in creating a distinctive alliance that we hope will last for a long time. We are also pleased that through the use of AstroPay, our fans can receive various benefits”, concluded Asenjo regarding the strategic association between the club and AstroPay.
