Tomorrow, Saturday June 10, 2023, at the Campo Argentino de Polo, the NGO Bitcoin Argentina will celebrate its tenth anniversary. For this special occasion, the organization seeks to form the largest human “₿” in the world.

On this occasion, we spoke with Fernando Secchi, a member of the board of directors of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina. We asked them, among other things, about the expectations for this meeting and the activities they will carry out, in addition to forming the human “₿”.
CriptoNoticias (CN): What expectations do you have for the event and what was the reaction you perceive in the bitcoiner community?
Fernando Secchi (FS): There is a great desire to participate and collaborate in this event, so we have no doubt that it will be historic. It is the first time that a giant human “₿” has been assembled, that the crypto community of Argentina has come together in this way to celebrate its strength and give a message to a world that we see in crisis, unstable. References, companies and organizations of the sector will participate, all together to make visible and raise awareness about monetary and financial freedom. We have the collaboration of a lot of volunteers, groups are being organized to be able to come from afar, everything that is happening is very nice.
CN: What are the attendees going to find? In addition to the formation of the giant human “₿”, will there be other activities, stands, a conference, etc.?
FS: Yes. The assembly of the “₿” will be the first thing, which is the main activity and will have several photographs taken with a drone from the sky. Then there will be talks given by different community leaders, games with prizes in bitcoin, music and a second assembly of the “₿” with cell phones, at night.
CN: How did this idea come about?
FS: The idea arose from thinking about how we could celebrate the 10 years of the NGO together with the entire community. We wanted to hold an open, participatory celebration that represents us, that makes visible the strength of the ecosystem and serves to send a message to the rest of the world. Starting from these premises, we thought and came up with the idea of the giant human “₿”, which allows us to express all this in the best way.
CN: How do you imagine the next 10 years of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina?
FS: Our objective as an organization is to promote and disseminate the advantages and opportunities offered by decentralized technologies. In this sense, I believe that the NGO will continue in the future to be a human, social space, willing to collaborate, help and educate all the people who begin to adopt these technologies, highlighting the values and principles that we consider fundamental, such as privacy, freedom, transparency, decentralization and the empowerment of the individual.
CN: And how do you imagine the next 10 years of bitcoin in Argentina?
FS: Bitcoin will continue to comply with the rules that were established at its inception. Afterwards, everything that is developed on that layer will depend on the knowledge, skills and creativity of people and the industry, which has no ceiling. That with respect to technology in general. With respect to Argentina, the classic economic system is in a very critical situation, with a lot of uncertainty, which contrasts with that offered by Bitcoin, for example. I believe that this is going to generate that more and more people come closer, adopt this technology and give it the use they consider best.
